Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, it’s all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
So this is my first stacking the shelves post ! 🙂
I”m a really picky girl when it comes to books. I like to buy my books in a store where i can see and hold them so no online buying for me (unless i have no other option). And i always buy them new, and if i can’t buy new books i’ll go for the really really old vintage ones, the ones that smell like old memories 🙂 And last but not least i’m from Belgium and the books here are EXPENSIVE !! so i always buy a lot of books when we go on holiday to England. In Belgium it would be around 13 euro’s more for the same book so that’s really ridiculous.
These are the books i bought on my trip to Brighton this weekend.
Mansfield Park – Jane Austen
Bared To You – Silvia Day
You Against Me – Jenny Downham
Beautiful Disaster – Jamie McGuire
The Woman Who Went To Bed For A Year – Sue Townsend
The Vintage Teacup Club – Vanessa Greene
Still Alice – Lisa Genova
The Perks Of Being A Wallflower – Stephen Chbosky
Someone Like You – Roald Dahl
The Sense Of An Ending – Julian Barnes
I’ve read my fair share of teen vampire stories for now so i decided to go back to some old familiars. I picked up the new Sue Townsend book because i really liked what she has done before so i couldn’t go wrong with that. Roald Dahl … well i guess everybody has read the children’s books but this one is an adult stories, one of the few he wrote so i really wanted to read that to ( it’s not a new book btw). Then Jane Austen well it’s just a classic that everybody has to right am i right or what 🙂 ?
All the other books are just books i read reviews about here on WordPress and they all seemed so very promising ! And yes i know Silvia Day is in there to, and i’m gonna be honest yes I’ve read the Fifty Shades trilogy and yes i liked it, so yes i bought Silvia Day because (almost) all the reviews says this series is even better so i couldn’t resist 😀
