In function of one of my classes i have to write a paper about a subject that interests me, but it had to have a link to architecture of design. The choice was difficult, would i go for vintage design or antiques, the geisha or something with books. My greatest passion that has anything remotely connected to design is books so i went with that. I have to do a small research about that subject, so now i would like to ask all you writers out there or writer to be to share me some of your thoughts.
I’m researching the what, when, why and the how of book cover design so i would really appreciate it if you guys could help me out here just by answering some qtions 🙂 If you answer the qtions (which i hope you will) please mention wether your are a writer/writer to be/reader
Do you like the idea of book covers ?
Did you design the book covers for the books you wrote ?
Did you have an image of what the book cover should be like before you wrote the story ?
If you didn’t design them yourself, who did it for you ? was there a collaboration or was it designed without your input ?
How important do you think book covers are in means of promoting/selling the book ?
Would a book cover influence you to read or not read a specific book ?
Is there a special book cover that stands out of all the books you ever read ?
Hello WordPress bloggers !
So in my last comfort food post (this one) i mentioned how i had lots of work and stuff … Today the results came in and i must say that hard week(s) of work were so worth it ! I passed 😀 ! I was so happy and excited that i couldn’t stop smiling.
Watch it here comes the food part 😉
So after all the joy and happiness (on my part) a friend wanted to go to the Asian store not far from our school to get some tiger balm for her headache. I went along for the ride because i just love the asian culture and food. And guess what i found there in 3 different flavors … yes your right MOCHI !!
I can hear some of you guys saying what the f*ck is mochi ? Well let me explain, mochi are japanese rice cakes, that are eaten during the celebration of the new year. They are made by pounding cooked rice until it starts to form one mass, this method is really labour intense and is hardly used anymore. These days you can use a blender or just use rice flour instead. You have the rice cakes on its own but almost always there is a filling inside.
In this shop they had red bean paste(not to be mistaken with kidney beans or regular red beans, these are adzuki beans and they are sweeter and used in desserts) green tea and peanut butter. Since my results were so good i decided to buy a pack and celebrate, but sssst it’s a surprise for my parents so don’t tell on me 😉
