In dire need of some comfort food

So I had a really stressful week … I had a deadline on my project and i was sure i wasn’t going to finish in time, guess what i’m done 2 days early 🙂 So now i really need some comfort food to get my spirits up again. And for this i have the perfect recipe, it’s not even a recipe but a sauce. I have this sauce recipe you can make with noodles or rice, chicken fish or beef … It always cheers me up just when i need it.
Because i had nothing left in the fridge or freezer i made a vegetarian version today.

Ingredients ( for 2 )
sauce:
– 60ml soy sauce
– 2 tblspns worcester sauce
– 1 1/2 tblspns ricewine
– 1 tblspn mirin
– 1 tblspn ketchup
– 1 tblspn oystersauce
– 2 tspn brown sugar

Yellow noodles for 2
1 clove of garlic
a pinch of chili flakes
mixed stir fry vegetables

So this is really easy to make! First make the sauce, just combine all the ingredients and stir a bit. Meanwhile boil water and put your wok on the fire so that can heat up to. When the water is boiling put in the noodles and cook them for 3 minutes. i time this because 3 minutes is perfectly al dente the japanese way 🙂 while the noodles are on put some oil in the wok and put in the chopped garlic and chili flakes. Then add the vegetables. when they are half done put in half of the sauce. so we’re almost done ! easy right ? so your noodles should be long done by now. Drain them and add them to the veggies, then add rest of the sauce. DONE ! plate up and enjoy 🙂
